We are growing and looking for a Sales Manager to join our team. Are you the one?

We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager with a strong background in long sales-cycle projects, ideally within the maritime, renewables, or oil and gas sectors. The ideal candidate will have excellent relationship-building skills, a commercial mindset, and the ability to develop strategic sales approaches. If you’re passionate about driving growth, collaborating with global energy companies, and have a keen interest in technical aspects, we’d love to hear from you. This role requires frequent travel, both domestically and internationally, and offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic and forward-thinking team.

Your profile:

  • 5-10 years of similar work experience, 3-5 years of experience in long sales-cycle projects.
  • Ability to demonstrate previous experience and track record for a role of this nature.
  • Previous maritime experience, including renewables or Oil and Gas, is a plus.
  • Interest in technical knowledge, ability to learn what makes our vessels great, and be fluent in specs.
  • Has a strong ability to build and maintain relationships across a broad set of international energy companies.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate market developments into commercial strategies.
  • Very strong commercial and financial acumen with good negotiation skills and the ability to project or anticipate clients’ moves and articulate a value proposition for a prospective customer.
  • Ability to interpret the company’s current sales situation, recommending changes, improvements, and other measures.
  • You are hardworking, self-motivated, and organized, capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
  • You are aligned with our values and your work ethic results in providing excellent service to co-workers and clients.
  • Frequent travel, mainly domestic, but also a few international trips every year.
  • Creative marketing capability.
  • Is collaborative in approach both inside and outside of the organization.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills
  • Work efficiently with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.
  • Hold a valid Driver’s License, Passport.

Educational requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree at a minimum.
  • Additional focus on sales, marketing, maritime, or renewables is a plus.

Responsibility:

  • Develop and maintain a network of relationships that support the development of the commercial department and strategic support of the business approach. You will be passionate about and committed to the company and its culture.
  • Meet existing and potential new customers regularly.
  • Identify and maintain visibility of current and future opportunities.
  • Negotiation and Tendering: the ability to assist and learn our process, eventually leading the process.
  • Responsible for submitting project-specific tender material.
  • Contact person for ongoing contracts when a vessel for example is off-hire including administrating relevant documents such as HSSE, on-/off-hire documents.
  • Maintain and direct the company’s sales strategy based on current and future activity.
  • Develop a 5-year plan for business activities, focusing on vessel availability and competitor analysis.
  • Lead the commercialization strategy and activities of the business
  • Maintain a keen focus on current market rates and future predictions based on market research.
  • Participate in exhibitions & seminars, domestic and international.
  • To work and develop the company’s routines with present and new customers and develop meeting statistics.
  • Develop new solutions and methods to maintain our quality and profitability standards.
  • Provide sales and chartering support during non-office hours.
  • Follow the company’s ISO routines.
  • Attend operational meetings with clients during ongoing projects.

Terms of employment

  • Full-time, 6-month probationary period.
  • Location: Providence, RI. Remote location within the East Coast or Gulf area might be considered.
  • Availability to support 24/7 vessel operations. Generally flexible M-F work hours, with the expectation of attending regular meetings and being available throughout the day.
